and it hasn't snowed until Halloween. >=[ *grump*
Oh well. It tried yesterday and Friday.
Tomorrow I will be baking chocolate chip cookies for Santa and making devilled eggs and putting together a veggie tray for Holiday movie watching and card game playing with my mom, dad, brother, and boyfriend. Then it'll be time to put the gifts under ..er... around the tree (it's too massive and literally has no room under it for anything except small flat packages) and go to bed.
Then it will be Christmas Day. A day for getting up "early" (7/8am), getting a glass of hot chocolate, and opening presents in my footed or Christmas squirrel pajamas with my family. Then it'll be time to take a nap (maybe), putt around, and start cooking the prime rib for dinner. At some point, the boyfriend will come over to join us and we will exchange gifts.
Then, on Wednesday, it will be time for me to go back to work. At home, my parents (who are on vacation until January) will begin un-decorating and figuring out what happens to the kitchen first. We're gutting our kitchen because it's awful. My mom would rather have no kitchen than this kitchen (I don't agree because I like having a kitchen that has some kind of function haha).
Happy Winter Solstice!
Have a good Monday and Tuesday in which nothing in particular happens for you except (a) potential day[s] off!
Happy whatever you do or do not celebrate! (Feel free to add in a comment!)
And now, to wrap my present for my dad and make a card for my mom from my dad.
